Team India marked the festive occasion of Dusshera with a spectacular performance, registering a commanding 133-run win over Bangladesh in the third and final T20I in Hyderabad on Saturday. With this victory, India completed a 3-0 clean sweep against the visitors, showcasing their dominance throughout the series.
Record-breaking batting display by Team India
India’s batting line-up put on an extraordinary show, setting a new record for the highest-ever team total by a full-member nation in T20Is, scoring a mammoth 297/6. Sanju Samson was the chief architect of this record-breaking feat, playing a scintillating knock of 111 runs off just 47 balls. His innings was filled with power-hitting and elegant strokes, leaving the Bangladesh bowlers helpless.
Suryakumar Yadav, the captain of India, was equally explosive, smashing a 35-ball 75, which included 5 sixes and 8 fours. The middle order was bolstered by Hardik Pandya (47 off 18) and Riyan Parag (34 off 13), who played the perfect finisher’s role, adding quick runs in the death overs. Their combined efforts propelled India to a massive total, leaving Bangladesh with a daunting task ahead of them.
Mayank Yadav’s dream start with the ball
The match had several thrilling moments, but one of the most striking was Mayank Yadav‘s fiery delivery to dismiss Parvez Hossain Emon. The young pacer set the tone for India’s defense right from the first ball of Bangladesh’s innings. He delivered a sharp, pacy short ball that took Emon by surprise, causing him to mistime an awkward shot.
The ball reared up off the pitch, forcing Emon to play, but he was unable to free his arms. It lobbed off the glove, and Parag, positioned at first slip, moved swiftly to his left to complete a straightforward catch. The dismissal left Emon stunned, and the Indian team erupted in celebration as they had drawn first blood in Bangladesh’s chase.

Bangladesh’s struggle in a massive chase
Bangladesh faced an uphill task of chasing down 298, and their innings never really took off as they struggled to cope with the mounting required run rate. While Litton Das tried to anchor the innings with a 42-run knock, and Towhid Hridoy fought valiantly to remain unbeaten at 63, the rest of the batting line-up faltered under pressure.
The disciplined Indian bowling attack restricted Bangladesh to 164/7, sealing a comprehensive 133-run win for the hosts. The match highlighted India’s all-round strength, with the bowlers backing up the fantastic work done by the batters earlier in the day.
