Mayank Yadav, the star fast bowler of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), who created a sensation with his thunderous bowling in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL), is being showered with love and respect from all around the world.
Veteran players, retired legends and cricket experts continue to praise Mayank for his fast bowling spells. Recently, his parents also came to the limelight as they gave an interview to a news channel, talking about the past and future of their son.
Insights on Mayank Yadav’s potential international call
Mayank’s parents said that they are hundred percent confident that their son will play for India. They also mentioned that Mayank would have been selected for the T20 World Cup 2024 if he hadn’t suffered an injury in the last two years.
“Yes, it is in my mind, 100 percent. I hope he makes his debut for India and does well. But more than me, his dad is 100 percent sure. Right now, people are saying he should be playing for India. But for the last two years, his father has been saying that if he wasn’t injured, he would have gone for the upcoming T20 World Cup,” Mayank’s mother was quoted as saying to Aaj Tak.
His father, in a heartwarming revelation, shared that Mayank’s journey to becoming a wonderful player started at a very tender age. His game, nurtured with love and dedication, has only grown stronger with time.
“When he was 12 years old, I knew he was going to be a cricketer. I was behind that goal. When he got his trial in the 14 age group, I knew then that he was ahead of everyone. So, we worked according to that and he did his part as well. He never disobeyed my instructions, and when he turned 16, he had more power and became more mature,” stated Mayank’s father.
