SRH beat MI by 31 runs

In a riveting clash between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Uppal, SRH won the toss and elected to bat first.

The Kavya Maran-owned Sunrisers Hyderabad put up an outstanding batting performance, amassing a record total of 277/3 in their allotted 20 overs. Travis Head‘s explosive knock of 62 runs off 24 balls, along with significant contributions from Abhishek Sharma (63 off 23), Aiden Markram (42 off 28), and Heinrich Klaasen (80 off 34), powered SRH to a mammoth score.

MI innings

In response, Mumbai Indians fought hard but fell short, managing 246/5 in their 20 overs. Tilak Varma led the charge with a brilliant 64 off 34 deliveries, supported by Ishan Kishan (34 off 13) and Tim David (42 off 22). However, their efforts weren’t enough to chase down the target set by SRH.

Jaydev Unadkat and Pat Cummins were the pick of the bowlers for SRH, claiming two wickets each, while Shahbaz Ahmed chipped in with one wicket.

Ultimately, SRH emerged victorious by 31 runs and handed five-time IPL champions, MI, their second defeat of the tournament.
